Partnership Leads to Digital-First, AI-Powered Sales and Customer Service for Life Insurance

For life insurance and annuity companies, abandoned applications could soon be a thing of the past. Insurers now have a cost-effective solution to help prospective policyholders complete their digital applications 24/7. That solution includes AI-powered messaging, video, voice and cobrowsing.

Sureify, the life insurance industry’s leading digital platform, has partnered with Glia (formerly SaleMove), the leading digital customer service platform that simplifies and transforms communications between financial institutions and their customers. Glia will provide direct-to-consumer support within Sureify’s Lifetime platform, a cloud-based platform that life and annuity companies use for e-applications, and web and mobile servicing portals for their customers.

Life insurance and annuity applications can be complex for consumers to work through. Without instant service support, people frequently abandon their applications, leading to poor placement rates and missed revenue, a pain felt throughout the industry.

“Having best-in-class chat options is incredibly important to our carrier customers,” Sureify Head of Product, Jacob Ruiz, said. “We’ve all seen chat help on websites before, but Glia is really a different order of magnitude. The seamlessness with which a consumer can request help on a question during an e-app, start video-chatting with an agent, cobrowse if necessary—it’s very technologically progressive.”

Here’s how Glia’s customer communications platform has impacted one carrier:
The number of touch points per claim went down by 18%, impacting thousands of claims per week and saving millions of dollars in contact center staffing costs.
The insurer reduced total claims processing time from 18 to 14 minutes.
Customer Satisfaction scores increased dramatically, from an average of 3.2 out of 5 to 4.7 out of 5.

Sureify continues to grow its partnership network to augment its offerings, from insurance behavior modeling and IOT sensor data analytics to life event prediction and compliance analytics.

“Insurance at its core is a relationship between a carrier and a consumer. There is no physical product. The customer experience is essentially the product,” Glia Co-Founder and CEO Dan Michaeli said. “We’re confident that Sureify’s carrier customers will continue to see significant improvements in sales and customer satisfaction.”
